I am a postdoctoral researcher at the INAF - Osservatorio Astrofisico di Arcetri. I am working in the field of galaxy formation and evolution, and I usually study galaxies by looking into their stellar populations.
I am particularly interested in the connection between galaxies, their host dark matter halos, and their large-scale environment. I am also curious about galaxy quenching and the imprint that super-massive black holes leave on their host galaxies over cosmic time.

Although I usually work with optical spectra from massive galaxies, I am also familiar with data of simulated galaxies of state-of-the art hydro-cosmological models.
