The series of “GEE” (Galaxy Evolution and Environment) meetings are a venue to unite the Italian astronomical community working in this field, to discuss the latest highlights and ongoing projects and stimulate collaborations and collaborative efforts.
Following this tradition, and after GEE1-2009 held in Bologna, GEE2-2011 in Milan, GEE3-2013 in Padua and GEE4-2015 in Naples, we are organizing the new GEE5 in Arcetri.
GEE5 will take place on November 15-17 2017 at The Department of Physics and Astronomy in Arcetri, Florence. The topic of this meeting will be:

"Galaxy evolution and environment: observations meet simulations and theory"

We thank INAF, Osservatorio Astrofisico di Arcetri and the "Dipartimento di Fisica e Astronomia" of the University of Firenze for the generous support.
