ADLB - Autocorrelatore Digitale a Larga Banda

This instrument was a spectrometer operating at the Medicina telescope.

It has been used from 1985 to 1996 to observe molecular transitions in the cm bands available at this telescope, particularly the H2O line at 22 GHz, the CH3OH lines at 6 and 12 cm, and the NH3 lines at

The istrument has now ceased operations, and this page is here mainly for historical reasons.

The instrument has a total bandwidth selectable from 0.78 to 25 MHz, and 1024 spectral channels. The typical RMS noise, in the 22-23 GHz band, assuming 5 min. integration time and 25 MHz bandwidth, is about 0.7 Jy.
